Becomeing acquainted with the highlights of Berlin.

With the detailed travel guide of Falk "Spirallo" and a tube map, we got underway to explore Berlin. First we visited Sanssouci, the summer residence of Frederick the Great. "Unter den Linden" with Reichstag, Brandenburger Tor, Friedrich Strasse and checkpoint Charlie.

Late in the afternoon we are on the "Kurfürstendamm". We go into the Keizer-William-Gedächtniskirche, and afterwards take a stroll through the busy streets with many terraces. We pass "Ka De We" a department store. According to our travel guide the largest department store on the continent with 60,000 square meters. The abundance of specialized sections is breathtaking.

On Friday we visit the part of town "Potsdammerplatz and Kreuzberg". Saturday evening we enter the train "City - Night - Line" in Spandau. After a deeply sleep we leave the train on Sunday morning in Baden (Switserland). The last 20 km. we cycle home without wind under blue sky. My cycle-computer shows, for the whole stretch in two weeks 1112 kilometers. That makes an average of 80 Km
