Wednesday, March 26th, 2003  Jaen – Cordoba, 116 km.

Even though not much shorter, this stretch wasn’t as strenuous – with less climbs and more tailwind I made good time. Leaving town, the road turns into a highway (fairly common in Spain). I had to follow this road anyway though, as there was no other possibility (also no prohibit signs). After a while an alternative cropped up; more hills but almost no traffic. I arrived in Cordoba already by early afternoon, allowing plenty of time to look for a room for two days. I found quickly and only had to pay for one, which is not always the case! The next day I wanted to take a rest and look around because according to the travel guide Cordoba is very worthwhile.
